Dr. Sue Ryan Goodman, CFA


Sue received her Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of South Florida. Her dissertation title was "Understanding Nonprofit Boards: An Exploratory Study of the Governance Practices of Regional Nonprofits". Since moving to Florida in 2017, Sue has worked with local nonprofits and small businesses on various governance and financial matters. Additionally, she has presented to several local groups on nonprofit governance topics.

Before starting SRG Strategic Consulting in 2013, Sue was a Portfolio Manager with APG Asset Management in New York City and responsible for a $1.1 billion portfolio of private equity investments in the commodities sector, including timberland, mining and energy investments. She was one of the original members of the team established in 2007 to build a $6 billion global commodities private equity portfolio. Prior to APG, Sue worked for a bond rating agency and a large financial institution in the fixed income sector.

In addition to her DBA, Sue has an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University and a BS in Accounting from Marquette University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst. a Certified Public Accountant (Wisconsin license), a member of the CFA Institute, and an active member of the CFA Society of Tampa Bay. She currently serves as a board member of the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, as well as the Finance Committee. Sue is also one of the community organizers for 1 Million Cups in St Petersburg, FL. Previously, Sue sat on several non-profit boards, including Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey and the United Methodist Stewardship Foundation of Greater New Jersey.

Sue lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, is married with two adult children, and enjoys water sports, running and gardening.
